Dogs on the Lawn

A Community Event Hosted by the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

"Dogs On The Lawn" was a community outreach event hosted on the lawn of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. The goal was to get people involved in art in a more hands-on way, and let them experience an afternoon of pet-based fun at the museum. I was a part of the team of students from the Fiber department at the Kansas City Art Institute who worked together to create doggie shirt designs and screen print designs to decorate the shirts. We created examples of each of our designs and then helped the attendees make their own pet garment. The museum had a map of pet-related artwork inside the museum for guests to view, as well.
